Dear Folks-
I am a cad and a buffoon- but then, you know that! I’ve been a very bad boy about bloggage, I find I am so busy and I haven’t built it into my life yet, ala toothbrushing. So forgive and forget, if you would.
Today I hope to book flights for Ray & Bill to get from Nashville to NYC for our departure on the Ireland Magical Mystery Tour. Also some call-backs on gig opportunities in Kirkwood, NY and Bowling Green, KY. Push-ups and curls, dance around the basement to side 2 of Steely Dan’s “Katy Lied” and drink orange juice and eat grapefruit, an apple and a couple bananas before lunch. I’ve been eating only fruit in the morning for 18 years now, and it really works and I love it. It’s from the book “Fit For Life” and is the one thing they beg you to take away from the book, and I seem to have followed orders (I almost never miss a day- maybe an average of one every 3 years.)
I have a list of 15 other things that need doing today, and not one of them is music. Oy! That happens, but I always make time to sing at least half an hour on non-show days, and lately have been steady with my piano playing, which I do a lot of in solo & duo (with Buddy on accordion) shows. If you haven’t seen one of those, it’s really great fun and a totally different way to hear the music. Buddy and I will do 3 weeks worth of duo shows in Alberta and British Columbia (CANADA) in April, really looking forward to the tour. Buddy is so amazing, it’s great to have the chance to show him off without all the ruckus we make in the full-band setting. Come to- or better yet, help us book/create- one of these shows when you get a chance, its’ great for the sit-down concert vibe. Bob solo is a bit of a last resort, darlings, but I love doing it and once in awhile people even turn up for it!!
Many lovely folks joining us on the Ireland trip, including Darren and Tina Lutz, our webmasters who have also shot our “Like a Train” video and organized our DVD. They will be along to shoot videos on “Stomp” and “Hallways of Always,” so we’re really excited about that, and the Mystery Tourers will get to make an appearance in the “Stomp” video, no doubt. Also along will be Leigh Ann and Christy Kowalsky, our dear Irish (okay, they’re Polish, but the steps are Irish) stepdancing friends, who will be put to work at the concerts, no doubt! They are really wonderful!!
Well, will stop for now and hope to do at least several per week now, so keep an eye out!

Much love always-
