NCYC, ITUNES and # sixty-something!

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

First up we want to say a big ol thankee to everyone who made a point of stopping by to say hi at NCYC 2007! What a great week we had with tons of music, friends (new and old), and an unbelievable spirit! Certainly many memories to carry forth…until 2009! Thanks also to the great folks at ODU (Old Dominican University) for hosting us as an NCYC follow-up show and with a great message attached too in the ongoing efforts to fight the AIDS epidemic globally! Here’s hoping more colleges come on board!

Hey-we’ve got some great news! So many people have asked about getting our back catalog on ITUNES! So guess what? We did it! Now you can download your favorite songs (or maybe the whole album) from Say Kay-Lee and Erasers on Pencils directly from Itunes (in addition to other digital sites as well). Now we know you’ll all get I-Tunes Gift Cards for Christmas this year…so save a couple downloads for us! You can check it out here…

Oh…and by the way…WHATEVER MAKES YOU DANCE makes a great Holiday gift too! You still have time to order it here on the Ceili Rain website! Just visit our merch page…oh and go ahead and throw a beanie in there too!

So we are quickly wrapping up another year and working as fast as we can to book new shows for 2008! The phone is ringing even for next Fall already so if you’ve been sitting on the idea of having a Ceili Rain concert in your community…now’s the time to jump on!

…and if you do get a chance to see us LIVE in 2008 you might catch our newest Ceili Rain team player! We are so pleased to welcome Joe Davoli (aka Crazy Joe Davoli) to the Ceili Rain family! Joe is a tremendously talented fiddle player who has played many a show with the boys. After 12 years, our boy Buddy is taking a lesser role for a bit, to explore some new musical options-so it only seemed perfect for Joe D. to step in! Joe is player number-SIXTY-something and a welcome Northeast character in the line-up. Joe and Bob met on the Syracuse Stage production of “Big River” when Bob was playing harmonica & Joe was fiddler in the band. We hope you’ll get to check out Joe’s fiddle antics sometime soon. He’s sure to make you smile!

Well that’s it for now! Talk to you again soon! Slainte!
